High Temperature Sealant | Up To 1400 °C

HIGH TEMPERATURE INORGANIC SEALANT | UP TO 1400 °C

Product Description

SL8301 is a two-component, heat-curing adhesive specially formulated for sealing, encapsulating and fastening electrical and mechanical components subjected to high temperatures.

It combines high adhesion, excellent thermal resistance, chemical stability and durability even in demanding environments.

Once cured, it forms a solid ceramic layer, with insulating properties, resistant to oxidation, humidity, liquids and vibrations.

This product is widely used in the manufacture of tubular electric heating elements, industrial heaters, temperature sensors, transformers, motors, electric ovens, and domestic and industrial heating appliances.

Main Applications

SL8301 sealant is designed for applications that require thermal insulation, mechanical strength, and tight sealing under high temperatures.

Common Uses:

1. Sealing of terminals of tubular electrical resistors.

2. Encapsulation of defrosting resistors.

3. Fixing and sealing of sensors, thermocouples, and power resistors.

4. Insulation and bonding of metals, ceramics, glass and refractory materials.

5. Sealing electrical and electronic components in ovens, stoves, and heaters.

6. Protection against moisture, oxidation, corrosion and leakage in thermal equipment.

Directions for use

1. Surface preparation:

Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oil or dust. Alcohol, acetone, or industrial solvent may be used for cleaning.

 2. Product mixing:

Mix components A and B in a 10:1 to 20:1 ratio (by weight).

Shake until you get a uniform mixture without lumps.

The use time of the mixture is approximately 2 hours at 25°C.

 3. Application:

Apply with a spatula, syringe or brush according to the shape of the surface.

 Evenly fill the sealing area.

Remove air bubbles with spatula or light vibration.

 4. Curing:

Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours.

Bake curing according to the following recommended cycle:

 40 °C for 2 h

 70 °C for 1–2 h

 110°C for 4–6 h

 200 °C for 1–2 h

Note: for maximum thermal resistance, post-cure at 260 °C for 1 hour.

5. Cleaning:

Remove excess before curing with dry cloth or solvent.

Once cured, it can only be removed mechanically.

Packaging and storage

1.6 kg A+B set:

 12 kg box

Shelf life: 12 months in original closed packaging.

Storage conditions

Keep in a dry, ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight.

 Recommended temperature: 5–28 °C.

Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, as component B can absorb water.

Transport:

Non-flammable and non-hazardous product, suitable for land, sea or air transport.

Safety and precautions

1. Wear gloves and protective goggles during handling.

2. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.

3. Keep out of reach of children.

4. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

5. In very humid environments, it is recommended to preheat component B to 50°C before use.
