We can supply a wide range of specifications, including UL3535, UL3520, UL3512, UL3239, UL3135 and UL3132 , UL3123, UL3122, etc. The above products have excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and flexibility, and are widely used in household appliances, electronics, electric heating equipment and industrial fields.
Our silicone cables are produced in strict accordance with international quality systems, ensuring high quality and long-term stability, providing customers with a reliable choice.
Silicone cable installation precautions and fields of application
Silicon cable has the advantages of high and low temperature resistance, excellent electrical insulation performance, excellent chemical stability performance, high voltage resistance, aging resistance, and long service life. Using environmentally friendly silicone rubber materials as insulating materials, silicone rubber is soft and has good flame retardant properties, making the performance of the cable more superior. The following publisher would like to introduce you to the precautions for silicone wire installation and the field of application, welcome to read!
Silicone Cable Installation Precautions:
According to GB50217-94 "Silicone Cable Planning Standards for Energy Engineering" and other relevant regulations, a certain number of silicone cable accessories (terminals and connectors) must be selected for the design and construction of silicone cable laying devices. The operational quality, safety, and reliability of the power supply system are not only related to the quality of the silicone wire itself, but also to the quality of the silicone wire fittings and the structure of the line.
1. The silicon cable laying device should be made by experienced professionals, and the construction and installation do not meet the relevant standards, which may affect the normal operation of the silicone cable system.
2. When manually laying the silicone cable, the operation pace should be controlled evenly, and the silicone cable should be lifted every 1.5~3 meters, and force should be applied when pulling.
3. When silicone cable is mechanically applied, a special silicone cable paver machine is usually used , equipped with the necessary traction, large, appropriate, uniform and non-damaging traction of the silicone cable.
4. Before applying the silicone cable, check if its appearance and cap are complete. When using it, pay attention to the direction of rotation of the silicone disc surface and do not crush or damage the outer cover of the silicone disc surface. When the temperature is low in winter, the siliconized cable should not be corrected by the detachment method to prevent breakage of the insulation and sheath.
Application areas of siliconized cable:
Silicone cable is widely used in our daily life and is a very important material in industrial raw materials, generally with the following applications:
1: Internal connection cables of various small appliances such as (electric kettle, electric baking tray, rice cooker, hair dryer) and other products.
2: Lamp connection cables.
3: Connecting wire products for heating pipes and other products.
4: Lead line motors.
Features of High Temperature Cables
1. Under the premise of ensuring current transport, high-temperature cables with higher load are important to reduce the outer diameter and weight of the cable, and to reduce the weight. Individually, the higher the operating temperature of the cable, the higher the ampacity load capacity of the cable of the same cross-section. In places like airplanes and automobiles, the importance of heavy components is great, and the application of high-temperature cables greatly reduces cross-sections. When the mission temperature increases from 90°C to 155°C, the ampacity can be increased by 50%. At the same ampacity, the cable assembly will be cut in half and the cost will be reduced. Of course, although the current is high, the energy loss of most insulating materials will also increase.
2. Working cable for high-temperature environments. ordinary wires and cables are prone to insulation aging and burning at high temperatures, and using cables will lead to degraded performance, damage, and unusability. High-temperature wires and cables can operate normally and stably at higher temperatures without affecting signal performance or power transmission, and the cable also has a long service life. This functional wire and cable is a common type of high-temperature wire and cable, and its application characteristics are easy to understand.
Difference Between Silicone Cable and Regular Cables
1. Different materials. Silicone cable is mainly made of silicone rubber as an insulating material, and the outer sheath material of ordinary cable is mainly PVC, PE and other plastics.
2. Different resistance to high temperatures. Silicone wire has high resistance to high temperatures and can withstand a higher temperature working environment, usually reaching more than 200°C, while ordinary wire can usually only withstand a temperature of about 100°C. Due to the excellent properties of silicone, silicone cables can work in high-temperature environments without being damaged. This makes silicone cables widely used in some special working occasions, such as electric ovens, ovens, and other high-temperature equipment connection lines.
3. Different smoothness and corrosion resistance. Silicone cable also offers better softness and corrosion resistance. On the contrary, the outer sheath material of ordinary wire is mainly PVC and other plastics, which do not have the softness of silicone wire and the ability to resist corrosion from some chemicals. Therefore, silicone cable is suitable for flexible wiring applications, such as connecting cables inside mechanical equipment or places that require frequent bending.
4. The insulation performance and resistance performance are different. Due to the insulating properties of silicone, silicone cables can effectively prevent current leakage between cables, improving the safety and reliability of cables. Silicone cable has excellent insulation and strength properties. At the same time, the resistivity of silicone wire is also small, which can reduce the impedance of the wire itself to the circuit, while the insulation performance of ordinary wire is generally poor.
5. Different cold resistance. Silicone cable has good cold resistance and can work in low-temperature environments, while ordinary wires are easy to harden in cold environments and will be prone to breaking and aging.
6. Different chemical resistance. Silicone wire has high chemical resistance and can be used in corrosive environments such as acids and alkalis, which ordinary wires do not have.
7. The price is different. Silicone cable is more expensive than ordinary wire. Due to the high purchase cost of silicone as a high-performance material, the price of silicone wire is generally more expensive than that of ordinary wire. Therefore, when choosing the materials to use, you should weigh them based on your specific needs and budget.
8. Different application scenarios. Silicone cables are mainly used in electrical equipment in high-temperature environments, such as motors, air conditioners, ovens, etc.; ordinary cables are widely used in life, industry, construction and other fields.
